As you may (or may not) know, I have struggled with my weight for the longest time now. It’s been a difficult and frustrating journey that I never seem to see the end of. And maybe that is part of the problem. Even though I managed to lose 100+ lbs in the past, I’ve gained nearly all of it back. I wasn’t consistent with my healthy habits and soon enough, the bad ones started becoming the norm. That being said, I’m not going to dwell on the past. Instead, I believe that if I take it one day at a time, and try to be the healthiest I can be; it will add up to a better tomorrow. Here’s where Dietbet comes in!
For those that don’t know, here’s how it works. You have 4 weeks to lose 4% of whatever weight you start at. You can join a game or start your own and everyone that joins puts a certain amount of money in the pot. I’ve noticed they are generally around $25-35. After the 4 weeks, everyone that makes their goal gets to split the pot. Sounds fun, right?
I joined Jillian Michaels dietbet and the pot is currently over $200k! Obviously, if most people reach their goal, I’ll be lucky if I see just a little over my initial bet ($30) but it’s still exciting! It ends on October 22 and I hope by then to have lost some weight! Here’s to making some progress, one step at a time!
