S’mores are the classic all-american treat that consist of graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows. While that combination of flavors is so distinct, it seems like everyone has their own s’mores recipes and trust me, I’m willing to taste test each one of them. Though between you and me, one of the most common things I would eat when I was younger were S’mores Pop-Tarts. I know they were not the freshest, classiest, and much less healthiest foods but I thought they were tasty nonetheless. Now you can skip that staleness and make your own s’mores treats. While making s’mores by the fireside is a classic summer activity, you can have all the s’mores related goodies; fireside optional.
Spiked S’mores Pie
Does this not make you swoon? The piled high marshmallow make it extra decadent and did I mention the chocolate is spiked with bourbon? Never has luxury and yummyness come together so well. I just want to smash my face into it, which is not as classy but then again, I never said I was. Also be sure to check out SprinkleBakes’ book, it is absolutely beautiful and brimming with inspiration.

Mostly known for her cakepops, Bakerella has plenty of other goodies on her site. Case in point, the most ooey gooey, indulgent brownies. I’m pretty sure that brownies are always good, but add the s’mores element and they become stellar. Make these for a family barbecue or for your office and everyone will love you. If you ask me, a big ball of ice cream on top would be perfection. I know, I have genius ideas from time to time.

Is there anything more trendy in the dessert world than macarons? So obviously I had to include a s’mores version of the fancy treat. I imagine that when Kate Middleton has a pregnant craving for s’mores, this is what they bring her. The macaron tops so perfectly dipped in chocolate and the marshmallow edges so daintily toasted, this one’s definitely a looker. I kind of feel like I should eat these with my pinky up.

S’mores Poke Cake
For those that don’t know, a poke cake is basically a cake that after it is baked gets poked with toothpicks or the end of a wooden spoon and the something delicious gets poured over it. Whether it be condensed milk or some type of pudding mix, the point is that it soaks into the cake making it scrumptiously moist and flavorful. I like this recipe because it is not too complicated but can still impress. You can make it easily enough and still have guests thinking you toiled over a hot kitchen for them. Aren’t those the best kind of recipes?

S’mores Ice Cream Cake
Obviously I had to include something ice cream related. You simply cannot have summer without an overload of ice cream. This one looks like it may be a little messy but some of the best things in life are messy. Puppies and babies? Totally messy. The great thing about this is that instead of oven time, it involved freezer time. So if it’s extra sticky hot you can feel free to stick your face in the freezer as well. What, I’m not cooling myself off…I’m just checking on the cake. Yup, Still there.
